Teddy Pardo Dualcap Mk.2 has ARRIVED!!!

 Yes! New Hi-Fi!! I've just replaced my Teddy Pardo Dualcap with .. the new Teddy Pardo Dualcap Mk.2!

.. and what a beast it is! The upshot is that I've got less hiss and the background static has been reduced to an 'inky blackness'. That's the best way I can describe it. Beautiful! Solid! Musical!

The DualTeddyCap is equivalent to two TeddyCap and in addition it includes a napsc compatible output. Each part of the DualTeddyCap has an independent transformer secondary and can be used independently.

The DualTeddyCap is the ideal partner for the NAC82/NAC282 preamplifiers, substituting three power supplies (two Hicaps and a Napsc) and furthermore, providing superior sound quality.

The TDualTeddyCap Mk2 is a completely new design, based on the lessons learned from our highly succesful MiniTeddy Special Edition .
Some design highlights:

• Hi capacity filter bank: using Kemet/Aerovox capacitors with 30,000uF total capacitance.
• Active filter stage, with extremely high noise rejection.
• New “Tedinator” – fully discrete voltage regulator.
• New grounding scheme, with low impedance “Star Ground” structure.

The result is an ultra low noise (noise is much lower than 1uV) and ultra low output impedance – ideally suited for the requirements of Naim’s preamp section.

The DualTeddyCap Mk2 improves upon its predecessor on many aspects, including:

• higher resolution.
• Better dynamics and more defined timing.
• Deep extended bass.
• Sharp focus and wide soundstage.

Interconnects

The TeddyCap is equipped with three interconnect cables:

– Two high quality 5-pin cables replacing the Naim black SNAIC-5 cable. These cables are made of silver plated PTFE insulated wires. The cable capacitance is around 13pF/ft, and its resistance is also very low, around 10 milliohm/ft.

– A third cable is supplied for connecting the napsc output.
